Single-Use-Seal is a project on Bitcoin’s RGB layer. Seals comprises the following digital assets:
• SUS token
• 10,000 NFT collection, depicting the Seal mascot
• Arctic Friends, a collection of 205 unique artworks by the talented artists of the Seals community

Single-Use-Seal – the tech is the meme:
Invented by Peter Todd in 2016, “single-use-seals” are cryptographic commitments that underpin the RGB protocol. In RGB, seals are anchoring transactions on Bitcoin’s blockchain, used to prevent double-spending by sequencing data sent privately between RGB’s users. These seals put only a tiny amount of data into the blockchain, which is indistinguishable from any regular transaction to anyone not involved in the relevant RGB process.
In English, the word “seal” can refer either to the lovable animals (Phocidae) similar to sea-lions, or to any device similar in function to a wax stamp, used to enclose a document or package with an impression that proves its origin and unopened status. This double meaning – cryptographic primitive or mammalian pinniped – is why seals were chosen as RGB’s mascot!

SUS is now live on Lnfi!
Discover RGB through Seals
RGB is a highly-decentralized smart contract protocol with a DAG model linked to Bitcoin’s blockchain. It enables unmatched privacy, scalability, and programmability within Bitcoin. It can be used for DeFi, NFTs, tokens, decentralized identity, and more.
RGB is the work of many well-known figures in the Bitcoin space, including Peter Todd, Giacomo Zucco, and Dr. Maxim Orlovsky.
The protocol was named by Zucco’s partner, Mir Liponi, referencing Colored Coins (an earlier protocol for digital assets), as RGB is also a common abbreviation for the colors “Red Green Blue.”
Here are 3 great reasons to get started in RGB:
Backed by Tether & other industry leaders
USDT, the world’s biggest stablecoin with the highest daily trading volume of all crypto assets, will run on RGB according to Tether’s official announcement. Bitfinex, owned by the same company as Tether, funds development of RGB.
By Bitcoiners for Bitcoins
RGB inherits the security and decentralization advantages of the world’s strongest blockchain. BTC is the native token of RGB – there’s no protocol token to distort developer incentives.
Client-Side Validation
Only minimal seal data links RGB to Bitcoin; all other data is transferred off-chain between RGB counterparties. This allows for unlimited data storage, full programmability, and perfect privacy – all without impacting Bitcoin.

The Seals community is different to what you may expect, here’s how:

Patience
The Seals whitelist was recorded in November of 2023. RGB was only ready almost 2 years later in Q3 of 2025! Seals attracts patient people who understand that building great things, like RGB, takes time.
Commitment
To combat bot exploitation, the Seals whitelist required each person to upload a hand-drawn image of a Seal on which they’d written their details. Further whitelist rounds rewarded great art or fast solutions to blockchain-randomized challenges. Community members earned their places through Proof of Work!
Foresight
RGB is a complex technology. Investing time and effort into it in 2023, long before its launch and Tether’s official support, required long-term thinking.
Friendliness
RGB is still newly-launched and relatively small. The Seals community cooperates with all other legitimate RGB projects. We’re building awareness of RGB together!
